Rapper Jayz found himself facing yet another lawsuit this time for his “I Will Not Lose” Campaign for his Rocawear clothing line. A Georgia based apparrel company is accusing Jayz and Iconix brand (makes and distributes Rocawear) saying that the Campaign infringed upon their trademark with the use of the phrase. “I Will Not Lose”.
The Campaign features the celebrities Ciara, Chris Brown, actor Tristan Wilds from the Wire. The ad also features everyday people like Nicole Paultre-Bell, the wife of Sean Bell. The campaign featured videos of each person telling how they work through their everyday struggles.
The company suing JayZ and Iconix Brand, I Will Not Lose LLC, was established in 2004. The company wants full rights to the name.
Also facing a lawsuit is Master P, Pepe Jeans London LLC has filed a lawsuit against the rapper, Walmart, and his Happy Nation distribution Company. Pepe claims that the “P” that the rapper uses on his clothing bites off the traditional Pepe logo….
